A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND MY COLLECTION
My jersey collection has been over twenty years in the making! It's not as large or extensive as many that are out there, but it's mine. And I'm pretty proud of it! I keep my eyes out for jerseys that everyone doesn't have. And I'm always looking for the best deal I can find. The way I look at it, anyone can go out and throw a bunch of money at a jersey collection. I do things differently for two reasons. First, I don't have a bunch of money to throw around! But mainly, the fun is in finding that special piece that can't be found everywhere and getting a great deal. Over the years, I've tried to make each addition to my collection fit one, if not both, of those criteria. Again, it's not the greatest collection in the world, by any means, but I've had a blast putting it together. And I hope to continue getting that level of enjoyment.
A number of people have played a role in the building of this collection. My sincerest thanks go out to Norma at NJK Lettering in Avella, PA and Ron at the House o' Hockey in Murrysville, PA. They've taught me a whole lot of things over the years. To my Mom, for chipping in at birthdays and Christmases and "buying me a sleeve" for my next jersey. Most of all, I'd like to thank my wife and daughter, who tolerate this little obsession of mine, no matter how many times they look at each other and shake their heads. For the record, no matter what else we've had going on, my wife has never told me "no" when I said I wanted to add a jersey to my collection. She's put her full faith in me that we won't be without bread or milk until pay day, where a lot of wives would've put their foot down and told me how stupid I was for wanting to get another jersey. I may have put the collection together, but I couldn't have done it without her blessing. I appreciate that more than she knows.
Thanks for taking the time to look over my collection.
